It’s an environment where hygiene standards are paramount, with the ongoing challenge of preventing cross-contamination and hospital-acquired infections. Rising cost and a requirement to maintain superior patience care prompted Tameside NHS’s cleaning team to seek a more efficient solution.

The Challenge

Cleaning more than 20 square miles of hospital buildings covering a diverse range of risk areas, Tameside NHS required a cleaning solution that would enhance infection control while simplifying the transportation of cleaning products and equipment across hospital buildings.

Our Solution

Arrow County Supplies responded with a comprehensive assessment of the Trust’s cleaning processes, recommending a bespoke modular trolley system. Designed specifically to meet the hospitals’ requirements, our modular trollies offered:

  • Custom configurability, using the flexible modular design to optimise usability and efficiency.
  • Enhanced infection control, including an integrated pre-dosed mopping system, high-capacity internal storage cupboard, and secure waste disposal unit to ensure best-practice cleaning procedures across the hospital.
  • Improved operational efficiency, facilitating effective management of cleaning operations and more efficient deep cleaning.

Sucessful implementation and results

Following a successful trial period, the custom trollies were implemented hospital-wide and immediately proved effective. The hospital's Domestic Manager commented:

"The trollies have been a lifesaver with regards to deep cleaning, particularly during COVID...they have the room for all our usual cleaning supplies plus the extra equipment we needed and we have introduced them across the team."
